SpokaneWire

spokanewire.com

SpokaneWire is a live hyperlocal news and public-safety platform serving Spokane, WA. An AI scanner pipeline ingests Broadcastify audio, transcribes through Deepgram, classifies through GPT-4o-mini, and publishes structured incident cards alongside 67 live camera feeds, PulsePoint fire/EMS, NWS weather, and WSDOT traffic.

The architecture is franchise-ready by design: a Next.js 14 monorepo on GKE (us-west1), Cloud SQL Postgres, Firebase RTDB, Cloudflare edge. Every component is containerized and environment-switchable — replicating to the next city is an env-var swap, not a rebuild. Phase 1 target is $9,460 MRR by end of May 2026, with newsletter, sponsor pipeline, and Monetize Boosts live from day one.

Konative

konative.com

Konative is a live market-intelligence and development-brokerage platform for the modular data center industry. It aggregates curated news and power-market signals from 12+ RSS feeds (130+ articles ingested), serves investment-group principals and Indigenous Development Corporations evaluating DC projects, and operates as the “development quarterback” for capital meeting capacity.

Built on Next.js 16 + Payload CMS 3 on Vercel, Supabase for data, Resend for email. Three revenue streams: Development Readiness Engagements ($300k/quarter), newsletter sponsorships with DC vendors (Vertiv, Schneider, Compass et al.), and paid subscriptions ($29/mo, $999/yr team tier). Targeting the 2,000–5,000 decision-makers who control modular DC procurement — a gap no existing publication serves.

Modern Bees

modernbees.farm

Tolowa Studio designed the brand and built the full site for Dennis Chidester, a commercial beekeeper operating 800 hives out of Peshastin, WA. The brand is built on one premise: write everything down. Every pollination contract ships with a stamped, signed inspection receipt — strength readings, photo-tagged walk-throughs, and a one-page block summary at pull-out. Every jar of honey traces back to the exact orchard block the bees worked.

Five surfaces, one beekeeper: a honey storefront with block-level provenance, a pollination services page with public strength guarantees and a 48-hour colony replacement commitment, a Columbia Valley broadsheet newsletter, and a public receipts archive where every contracted block gets its own permanent page. Editorial Agricultural design system — Fraunces display, Instrument Sans body, JetBrains Mono for tabular data. The paper trail is the brand.
